NGC 5985, NGC 5982, NGC 5981 are known as the Draco Trio of galaxies. The trio is a beautiful grouping of different galaxy types.
The group is composed of face-on SBb spiral galaxy NGC 5985 (left), E3 elliptical galaxy NGC 5982 (center) and edge-on Sc spiral galaxy NGC 5981 (right).
NGC 5985 is also classified as a Seyfert galaxy.
Although not technically cataloged as a compact galaxy group, the three galaxies all lie 100 million light-years away in the constellation of Draco.
North is to the top in the above image.
