Figure 1 - The colors in this image of Saturn are muted. We can increase them with the Saturation command in Photoshop. Hold your mouse cursor over the image to see a comparison between the original uncorrected image and the corrected one.

The image of Saturn seen in Figure 1 can be improved with some increase in color saturation. Saturn and most of the rest of the planets have subtle colors to start with, so we don't want to exaggerate the color.

Here we will use the Hue and Saturation command in Photoshop.

In Figure 3 we can see the results of using Photoshop's Hue and Saturation. The results are a subtle increase in the color saturation of the image and better differentiation between the colors on the ball of the planet.
