This is a large rich area of star clusters and large faint emission nebulae on the Cassiopeia - Cepheus border. Hold your mouse cursor over the image to see object identifications.

The large bright open cluster M52 is located on the left side of the image. Next to it is NGC 7635, the Bubble Nebula.

The Cave Nebula, Sh2-155, is another large complex of nebulosity at upper right with a small reflection nebula, VdB 155 to its southwest.

Sh2-157, the Lobster Claw Nebula, is the large emission nebula below and to the right (southwest) of the Bubble.

To the northwest of the Bubble is another large emission nebula, Sh2-161 with a smaller but bright nebula, NGC 7538 on its south-west edge. In addition to M52, numerous other open clusters are strewn across this area, including Czernik 43, NGC 7510, King 19, NGC 7419, NGC 7429 and King 10.

North is to the top in the above image.
