NGC 7789 is a rich open cluster in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It is sometimes called the White Rose Cluster, or Caroline's Rose after its discoverer Caroline Herschel, who found it in 1783.

NGC 7789 lies at a distance of 8,000 light-years away. It is estimated to be 1.6 billion years old. It has an apparent diameter of 16 arcminutes and an apparent magnitude of 6.7.

Because of its age, the more massive stars in the cluster have exhausted their hydrogen and expanded into red giants. These cluster stars can be identified by their red color in the image.
