NGC 1333 is a very faint reflection nebula located in the constellation of Perseus. It is also a member of a larger complex of faint emission and dark nebulosity which is part of the much larger Perseus OB2 molecular cloud.

It is located some 700 to 1,000 light-years distant and is a stellar nursery where stars have formed in the last 1 million years, most still hidden in the dust of the cloud.

Dark nebula Barnard 205 is located on the right side of the frame.

NGC 1333 is located 3.3 degrees west-southwest from Omicron Persei.

North is to the left in the above image.
