After you have finished processing your image, you should save it in an uncompressed file format that preserves all of the data. I usually use TIFF (Tagged Information File Format), it is an industry standard and supported by almost every image-processing program there is.

After you click the Save button, you will get another dialog box with more options (Figure 2).
